Lëtzebuerger Musekspräisser 2024: the triumph of Luxembourg music
On 19 December 2024, the Philharmonie Luxembourg hosted the second Lëtzebuerger Musekspräisser ceremony, organised by the Ministry of Culture and the Philharmonie. The evening attracted a full house, from artists to politicians and cultural figures. The event honoured the talent of Luxembourg's music scene and highlighted its diversity and development.
Major honours
- National Music Award (Nationale Musekspräis): Camille Kerger received this prestigious award for his outstanding contribution to the Luxembourg music scene. The prize is accompanied by a cash sum of 10,000 euros.
- Nowuesstalent Award for a promising career: Daniel Migliosi (€2,500).
"Op der Bün" - for best live performance:
- Music: Francis of Delirium (powerful guitar parts and vocals).
- Classical music: Francesco Tristano.
- Jazz/blues/world: Pol Belardi.
Each of these €3,500 awards recognises key artists from the past two years.

The gala was accompanied by performances by the Luxembourg Philharmonic Academy Quartet, as well as performers Bartleby Delicate, Veda Bartringer Quartet and Them Lights. The winners received unique trophies created by artist Laurie Lamborel.
Minister of Culture Eric Thill said that music brings people together, accompanying them in moments of joy and sadness. In his speech, he emphasised the desire to continue supporting the music sector and announced 200,000 euros in funding for music festivals in 2025 to create more opportunities for live performances.
The winners were chosen in two stages. In the first stage, 84 industry professionals nominated artists whose work they considered outstanding. In the second stage, a jury of renowned representatives of the music community selected the winners.
