Luxembourg's Minister of Culture, Éric Thill, attended the opening of the Luxembourg Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Biennale in Venice. Entitled Sonic Investigations, the project was prepared by curators Valentin Bansac, Mike Fritsch and Alice Loumeau, and features the work of artists and researchers Ludwig Berger, Peter Szendy and Anthea Caddy. It offers viewers a unique insight into Luxembourg's soundscapes. The pavilion explores architecture through acoustic perception, which is fully in line with the Biennale's theme: 'Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective'.

At the opening ceremony, the minister recognised the project team's ambitious and sensitive approach. "This is more than an exhibition — it is a fully immersive sound experience. The Luxembourg Pavilion pushes the boundaries of perception by using sound to explore and make sense of our geographies.” Eric Thill also emphasised the importance of Luxembourg's participation in the Biennale in strengthening the country's cultural image on the international stage.

During the visit, the official delegation also toured the pavilions of Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France and Germany, as well as a number of international exhibition projects located in Venice's iconic sites. The official programme concluded with an evening event attended by artists, curators, cultural institution representatives and international guests.

The Luxembourg Pavilion is located in the Sale d'Armi on the ground floor of the Arsenale and will be open to the public from 10 May to 23 November 2025. Further details about the project can be found on the event's official website.
