The Luxembourg Ministry of Education, together with the Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), has launched two educational books on green building. These books are aimed at children and adolescents and aim to stimulate interest in science, technology and environmental issues.

The book "Bauen für die Zukunft: Nachhaltiges Bauen mit Rücksicht auf den Klimawandel" is aimed at pupils in cycle 4 of primary education. It introduces children to the basics of ecobuilding, emphasising the impact of buildings on the environment and how they can be improved. The book presents innovative ideas on how to create buildings and entire neighbourhoods that protect nature and contribute to a better quality of life.

Through real-life examples, students learn how to design housing that minimises environmental damage. This is not just theory, but a practical guide to how everyone can contribute to the preservation of the planet.

For teenagers, the book "Éco-construire pour un avenir durable et résilient" has been created, which delves into the topic of sustainable construction and its impact on urbanism. It addresses the reduction of CO2 emissions and presents advanced technologies that can transform cities into green and comfortable spaces.

The book not only informs but also inspires teenagers, encouraging them to think about careers in sustainability, engineering and technology. It is a powerful incentive for those who want to contribute to the fight against climate change.

From February 2025, both books will be distributed free of charge to schoolchildren: junior high school students will have access to the first book, while secondary school students studying related subjects will be introduced to the second. These books will be an important addition to the education programme aimed at preparing new generations to meet environmental challenges.
