Maison médicale in Luxembourg: where to go after hours as the Ettelbruck centre moves

Ettelbruck’s Maison médicale moved to 63 avenue des Alliés, L-9012 Ettelbruck, on 2 November 2026. The former site at 110 avenue Lucien Salentiny has closed. The move is a useful reminder to check where and when Luxembourg’s three out-of-hours medical centres can help.
When to use a Maison médicale
A Maison médicale offers a walk-in consultation with an on-call GP when your usual doctor is unavailable. It is for health problems that need an examination but are not life-threatening emergencies. During normal weekday hours, contact your regular GP first. For a serious emergency, call 112; these centres do not replace an ambulance or hospital emergency department.
Hours and addresses
All three centres open Monday to Friday from 20:00 to midnight, and on weekends and public holidays from 08:00 to midnight. Luxembourg City: 23 Val Fleuri, L-1526 Luxembourg. South: 3–5 avenue du Swing, L-4367 Belvaux (Belval). North: 63 avenue des Alliés, L-9012 Ettelbruck. During opening hours, the information line is +352 20 333 111.
Appointments, payment and what to bring
No appointment is needed. Bring identification, your social security card and, if available, a list of medicines and relevant medical records. Patients usually pay for the consultation and claim reimbursement from the CNS; direct payment may be available where the applicable procedure is used. There is no single verified visit price, because charges depend on the services provided. The CNS lists standard reimbursement for covered doctor consultations at 88% for adults and 100% for children insured in Luxembourg.
After midnight and for children
After the centres close, call 112 first so the operator can direct you to the on-call GP. Children may be seen by the separate paediatric out-of-hours service at Luxembourg’s KannerKlinik; check its own hours before travelling. Visitors should bring their European Health Insurance Card if they have one. Without Luxembourg coverage, treatment may have to be paid for locally and claimed back from an insurer in the home country.
