Since 2018, the "Let's Talk about Sex!" project, initiated by the Luxembourg Ministry of Health and CESAS, has been actively working to promote the sexual and emotional health of young people. It was recently awarded the prestigious UNESCO label "Sexual Health and Human Rights", which confirms the high standards of scientific and ethical work.

The project is based on an interdisciplinary approach and cooperation with a number of organisations including Family Planning, the Luxembourg Red Cross, the LGBTIQ+ Cigale Centre and others. Its main goal is to break down stereotypes and taboos around the topic of sexuality, provide young people with access to quality educational materials and develop a science-based perception of sexual health.

The project includes several key elements. In 2020, a theory guide was published that covers six key topics for teaching sexual and emotional health. In 2023, a pedagogical platform with 30 interactive assignments and additional resources was launched. There is also a professional development programme, which includes a 32-hour course for professionals from education, social work and medicine.

To date, 3,500 copies of the theoretical guide and 2,000 pedagogical kits have been distributed in German, French and English. Almost 300 professionals, including educators and social workers, have been trained since 2021. UNESCO's recognition reinforces the project's credibility and underlines its importance in Luxembourg's education and social support system.
