The Luxembourg Ministry of Health and Social Protection is pleased to announce that, as of 20 October 2025, the Central Duty Medical Service will move from Strassen back to its former address at 23, Val Fleuri, L-1526 Luxembourg. Until then, i.e. up to and including 19 October, the reception centre at 5, rue des Primeurs in Strassen will operate as usual.
There are three maisons médicales de garde, where you can see a general practitioner outside office hours if you are unwell and cannot wait for your regular doctor's office to open:
Hours of operation:
- Monday to Friday - from 20:00 to 00:00
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays - from 08:00 to 00:00
Addresses:
- Luxembourg (from 20 October): 23, Val Fleuri, L-1526 Luxembourg
- Esch-sur-Alzette: 70, rue Émile Mayrisch, L-4240
- Ettelbruck: 110, avenue Lucien Salentiny, L-9080.
These services are intended for cases that do not require immediate intervention but cannot be delayed until you see your doctor. This can be, for example, sudden deterioration of a condition, acute inflammation, fever and other situations in which timely but not emergency care is important.
