LuxTrust fake employee: bank fraud scheme uncovered in Dudelange

Grand Duchess Police apprehended two suspects on the night of 1 April in Dudelange, on Grand Duchess Avenue Charlotte. A patrol spotted the men because of their suspicious behaviour, and a body search revealed several stolen bank cards.
As it turned out, the cards were obtained fraudulently: the criminals contacted the victim posing as an employee of LuxTrust. Under the pretext of fictitious "suspicious transactions", they persuaded the person to hand over his LuxTrust data and banking information. Using the obtained data, the fraudsters gained access to the victim's bank cards.
The prosecutor's office immediately ordered the arrest of the suspects. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
