Theft and searches: an evening of criminal activity in Luxembourg

An armed robbery took place on Tuesday evening in the Gare district in the centre of the Luxembourg capital. According to the police, an unknown man threatened his victim and took away his wallet in the rue de Reims (rue de Reims). The perpetrator fled and despite a quick search, he was not apprehended. The police have launched an investigation.
While a robbery was being reported in the capital, in the city of Ettelbruck the police carried out an anti-drug operation in a number of establishments. Several people were checked, some of whom were already in the law enforcement database.
The operation was carried out with the participation of several police units and service dogs. As a result, fines were issued for drug possession and use, and a protocol was drawn up for illegal possession of weapons.
