A report by Luxembourg for Finance and Deloitte shows how the financial sector contributes to the country's economy. Between 2011 and 2021, the sector grew by 64,592 employees, an increase of 2.5% per year. Some 135,519 jobs in Luxembourg are linked to the financial sector, representing 29.5% of all jobs in the country. So today we are going to take a look at the most promising jobs in finance on the labour market last week.

VP of Investor Relations

Requirements for this job position are:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics,
  • 5-7 years of experience in similar field and position,
  • Strong knowledge of finance industry and hedge fund services,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Investment Personal Advisor

BGL BNP Paribas is the largest employer in Luxembourg's financial sector with position in the national market and beyond Greater Region. Sounds ambitious! They are currently seeking an experienced Investment Advisor to join its International Europe Markets team. Successful candidate (after submitting criminal record, of course) will build client relationships and offer investment advice aligned with BNP's views.

The role involves offering investment ideas, following investment procedures and managing risk. You will work with advisory teams and keep in touch with relationship managers.

Requirements for this job position are:

  • Fluency in French and English, with Dutch an advantage,
  • Master’s degree (BAC +5),
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field,
  • Excellent written and oral skills.

International Fund Risk Professional 

The CSSF is looking for an experienced risk management advisor to help with discussions on risk management and financial stability in the investment funds sector. You will help develop and improve the national regulatory framework in Luxembourg and advise on how to manage investment fund risks.

Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier

The CSSF regulates finance in Luxembourg. It oversees banks, funds, insurance and other financial institutions. It makes sure the financial system is stable and honest, checks that financial rules are followed and protects investors and consumers.

As a Risk Management Advisor, you will work on national, European and international groups on risk management and financial stability in the investment fund sector. You will help create and improve rules for managing investment fund risks in Europe and around the world. You will also help improve Luxembourg's investment fund risk rules and advise on investment fund risk management.

Requirements for this job position are:

  • A university degree (BAC+4/BAC+5) in economics, finance, business administration or management, with a degree in risk management (e.g., FRM) as an advantage,
  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in investment fund risk management
  • Excellent English writing and speaking skills; French is an advantage, Knowledge of Luxembourgish and/or German is a plus.

Multilingual Account Manager 

Kelly Services Luxembourg are looking for a multilingual Client Relationship Manager on a permanent basis (CDI). The role will involve supporting the customer service department by managing customer contact, mainly by telephone.

This includes handling calls relating to credit and debit card losses and usage, answering various customer queries, performing back office tasks and handling emails.

Requirements for this job position are:

  • Proficiency in Luxembourgish, French, German, and English. Dutch is considered an advantage,
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the financial sector,
  • Ability to find solutions and maintain effective client contact.
