1575 new affordable houses in Dudelange

The Grand Duke himself approved the construction plan. On Friday, he visited the site in Neuschmelz with the Housing Minister and the mayor of Dudelange. An area of 33 hectares has been allotted for the house construction.

The project for the development of a new residential quarter got active support from the state. A grant of 507 million euros is expected. The future National Center for Public Collections (CNCP) will be located on the Dudelange site.

In total, the Housing Construction Fund is developing 4 large-scale projects throughout the country. In addition to the one planned in Neuschmelz, «Wunne mat der Wooltz» in Wiltz, «Wëltgebond» in Mamer and «An der Schmëtt» in Biver are also in the works. These 4 projects will be able to provide the country with 3048 new housing units.
