Bacteria in brie: cheese withdrawn from stores

The listeria monocytogenes bacteria was discovered during tests. As a result, the entire batch of Maubert brand brie under the 3441309 serial number is recalled. Auchan is the main distributor of this brand, but it’s possible to find the product in other stores. The dangerous batch was on sale from October 12 to November 9.

Listeria monocytogenes causes fever, headaches, and gastroenteritis. In more severe cases, such as with immunocompromised people, it can cause meningitis. Anyone who already has these symptoms after consuming the cheese should immediately consult a doctor.
