Boar steak hides the threat of salmonella

Lovers of delicacies are at risk due to dangerous bacteria sneaking onto the store shelves. Aldi is recalling marinated wild boar steak from store shelves. Salmonella might lurk in this product by the Belgian Quality brand.

Salmonella provokes the disease of the same name and is considered a rather toxic bacterium. Symptoms of the disease are as follows: nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, fever and headache. The peak occurs between 6 and 72 hours after ingestion of the contaminated product. Salmonella is especially dangerous for children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.
