Luxembourg house prices down by 3%
The average price per square metre for property sales fell by 2.9% between the second quarter of 2023 and the second quarter of 2024, according to the classifieds website Immotop. The average price is now 8,670 euros per square metre.
In regional terms, the biggest fall was recorded in the south of the country, where prices fell by 5.3%. In the eastern region, prices fell by 2.9%, in the central region by 1.4% and in the western region by 0.8%. The only region where prices continued to rise was the northern region, where prices increased by 1.4%
It is worth noting that, despite the decrease, the average price per square metre remains the highest in the Central Region. In the second quarter of 2002, it exceeded 11,000 euro.
How to buy a real estate in Luxembourg
In the capital, the average price per square metre of housing reached 12,641 euros, down 2.7% compared to the first quarter of 2024. In the Belair area, prices remain the highest at 14,828 euros per square metre, down 1.5% compared to the first quarter of 2024. This means that buying a 69 square metre house in this area would cost more than one million euros.
