Luxembourg-London air route to close at the end of October

British Airways, which provides service for the route, will close it towards the end of autumn. The last flight will take place on October 28. After that, Luxair will remain the only carrier supporting this air route.

So far, Luxair hasn’t commented on whether air fares will rise due to British Airways leaving. Luxembourg-London is not the only affected air route of the British carrier. This summer, the company stopped selling tickets for many shorter flights due to lack of staff. In addition, Heathrow Airport, where the company is based, has limited the number of passengers served to 100,000 per day.

Findel airport is also suffering some setbacks: clients report growing queues and lack of staff.
