Luxembourg roads will be blocked on September 13-17 due to a bicycle race
The bicycle race will pass through the Grand Duchy: from the Lorraine border to the capital through the country’s north. This is the 82nd Skoda Tour de Luxembourg.
The race will affect traffic.
First stage
Takes place on Tuesday, September 13. The riders will depart from the Luxembourg Stadium and arrive in the Kirchberg area between 16:10 and 17:00.
- Traffic on the Kockelscheuer and Konrad Adenauer boulevards, as well as on the Kirchberg street and the streets adjacent to it, will be stopped for several hours.
- The Adenauer parking lot will be closed from 20:00 on Monday 12 September until 22:00 the next day.
- Several bus routes, in particular 6, 16, 18, 21 and 25, will be rerouted and some stops will be cancelled.

Second phase
Starts on Wednesday, September 14. The route runs between Junglinster and Schifflange, where the racers will arrive around 15:00 to 16:00.
Most of the main city street will be inaccessible to traffic from 7:30 to 20:00. There will be no Ruffbus charter buses.
Third and fourth stages
The third stage of the bicycle race will take place between Rosport and Diekirch on Thursday, September 15th.
And on Friday, the cyclists will start the 26.1 km time trial near Lorraine. The route starts from the Esplanade Remich, passes through the Moselle vineyards and then returns to Remich. The Schengen commune will block traffic along the route from 11:00 to 17:00. Remich will also close several roads.
Final stage
The final day of the Skoda Tour de Luxembourg is on Saturday, September 17. Cyclists will enter the capital from the Mersch direction and reach Limpertsberg. There the bike race will end.
Car drivers won’t be able to move around and park on Victor Hugo and du Bois avenues, as well as on rue Henri VII at certain hours of the day. The race track will also be closed off. And, as on the first day, there will be changes in the bus movement. Check the details here.
