Luxembourgers are the most economical when it comes to food

This does not mean that Luxembourgers buy cheap products or follow strict diets. It's simply that, according to a study, residents of the Grand Duchy spend only 8.4% of their total monthly expenses on food. For comparison, in Russia this figure is 32.2%, and in Kazakhstan - 53%.
It is also worth mentioning that living a healthy lifestyle is very popular in Luxembourg. Bad habit spending in the country is comparable to that in Germany, Portugal, Cyprus and Spain - it only constitutes about 1.8%.
It is also worth remembering that, for example, tobacco prices in Luxembourg remain among the lowest in the EU. So in a study based not on costs, but on consumption volumes, the Grand Duchy may well lose its leading position.
