Storms hit northern Luxembourg

On the night of September 6-7, a hail storm has swept through the northern part of the country.

MeteoLux, however, was in no hurry to issue a storm warning, although France set its threat level to orange early enough. The meteorological service’s message has arrived around 20:00 and warned of the risk of moderate and severe storms.

However, in reality, the storms were accompanied not only by heavy rains, but also by hail. Some municipalities reported flooding in their territory. Videos and photos of the raging elements are already circulating on the Internet.

A new storm warning was issused in Luxembourg until Thursday’s morning. This time it includes strong gusts of wind, heavy rain and hail.
