Tango prepares for summer holidays and new smartphones in the fall

Mobile operator Tango expects that its 276,000 customers will be more mobile and consume more data this summer. Since the pandemic travel restrictions have finally been lifted, the operator’s users have begun to travel more actively.

Tango’s workload has been steadily increasing since the start of July. But the operator already has a “vacation” plan ready to deal with this. The company primarily intends to provide its tourist clients with reliable and affordable communications abroad.

Indeed, during long journeys roaming can cost cost a pretty penny. Therefore, this summer Tango will notify customers abroad about their data packages coming close to expiring in advance.

Aside from preparing for the holidays, Tango’s having a quiet summer. The company predicts major activity this fall and next winter. That’s when Apple and Samsung are releasing their new smartphones.

For now, the operator is waiting for technical and pricing details on these devices. Since the costs are constantly rising, Tango plans to offer customers to pay for new smartphones in monthly installments.

Tango is one of the largest mobile operators in Luxembourg. The company started in 1998 and now holds about 35 % of the country’s mobile market.
