Terrorist threat level 2 declared in Luxembourg
Xavier Bettel calls for a coordination group to fight terrorism. Luxembourg has declared a second threat level after the Brussels attacks. This level means that the threat is real but abstract. This means that it is unknown how, when, and where an attack could be carried out.
On Monday, 2 Swedish football fans were shot dead in the Belgian capital. Police in the country raided and eliminated the suspected terrorist attacker. Security measures have now been tightened throughout the country.
The Luxembourg Coordination Group has not been idle either. It has updated the list of vulnerable objects and is taking preventive measures. So far, however, we can say that there is no specific threat in the Grand Duchy.
