The annual air show returns to Dudelange

This Sunday, the Aéro Club Dudelange will open its doors for its traditional annual aviation fair. According to an official statement from the Luxembourg Aeronautical Federation (FAL), the event will run from 10.00 to 19.00, and admission will be free for all visitors. The festival aims to introduce the general public to various aviation disciplines.

Throughout the day, guests will be able to watch demonstration flights of radio-controlled model aircraft and chat with the club’s active pilots and engineers. For those wishing to gain their first hands-on experience, the organisers have set up a specialised flight simulator. Under the guidance of instructors and experienced club members, beginners will be able to safely learn the basic skills of flying an aircraft, whilst receiving the necessary theoretical and technical support. The programme also includes a themed workshop for young visitors: children will be able to assemble wooden model aeroplanes themselves and take them home.

The participation of the professional skydiving association Skydive Luxembourg, which is also a member of the Luxembourg Aeronautical Federation, deserves special mention. The athletes will perform a series of exhibition jumps, demonstrating elements of freefall and parachute canopy control to the spectators.
