What future awaits CNE?

Next week Corinne Kahen will present a new integration law draft. It will directly affect the jurisdiction of the National Ethics Committee (CNE).

The CNE itself wants more power. According to representatives, it is an important government body that should work closely with the Chamber of Deputies and be "a voice heard by the state."

A possible reform will also affect the composition of the CNE, which is currently not representative enough. Some consider the presence of trade unions and employers within the committee unnecessary. This body should represent and protect the interests of all the inhabitants of the country without exception.

The final decision, one way or another, remains with the Parliament. The voting date will be announced later.
