Government subsidises charging stations for electric vehicles

Government officials have confirmed two new subsidies for electric vehicle charging stations. These measures will accelerate the development of electromobility for businesses in Luxembourg.

The first grant can be received by those who build a charging station with a capacity of at least 175 kilowatts. The state will cover up to 50% of the costs, even if the station is private.

The second offer will help install charging stations for small and medium-sized enterprises. Upon request, a small business can receive financial assistance of up to 50% of the cost of installment and up to 60% of the cost of connecting the station to the electrical grid. Assistance is limited to €60.000 for onboarding and €40.000 for in-enterprise deployment.

Companies that lease charging stations can also use subsidies. The state will offer a discount as part of the leasing agreement.
