Portuguese citizens living in Luxembourg once again voted differently from the majority of voters in Portugal itself in the second round of the presidential election. The far-right candidate André Ventura, leader of the Chega party, won an absolute majority of votes here — 52.29%, or 2,536 out of 4,975 ballots cast.

His rival, socialist António José Seguro, who ultimately won a convincing victory nationwide with 66.82% of the vote, received only 47.71% in Luxembourg, corresponding to 2,314 votes. Thus, the diaspora in the Grand Duchy once again voted contrary to the national trend.

The gap between the candidates narrowed compared to the first round. At that time, Ventura received 42.5% of the votes (1,848 out of 4,398), while Segur received 22.9% (995 votes). Despite this decline in his lead, the far-right candidate managed to maintain his lead among voters in Luxembourg in the second round.

Official data from the Secretariat of the Portuguese Ministry of Internal Administration also recorded 89 blank ballots (1.79%) and 36 invalid votes (0.72%). Turnout remained low: only 4,975 of the 41,610 registered voters took part, which corresponds to 11.95%. This is slightly higher than in the first round, but still highlights the weak mobilisation of the Portuguese community in the country.
