A dangerous criminal is hiding in Luxembourg

Ben Mahfoudh Montassar, a Tunisian national, has become one of Europe's most wanted criminals. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2023 for an attempted murder committed in 2018. At that time, he attacked a woman, attempted to strangle her, and inflicted numerous blows with his hands and feet. The victim suffered severe injuries.

Montassar fled after his conviction, and European and international arrest warrants have been active against him since March 2023. Europol added his name to the Most Wanted Fugitives list, replacing the recently detained fraudster .
