The Minister of Education, Childhood and Youth, Claude Meisch, has summarised the interim results of the development of the Eltereforum initiative to support parents across the country. A wealth of concrete data was provided in response to a parliamentary enquiry.

The Eltereforum project includes physical meeting centres and an online platform. Since July 2023, the nine regional centres have welcomed a total of more than 17,000 visitors. The centres in Lorentzweiler and Bertrange were the most active, with over 2,700 and 2,400 visits respectively.

At the same time, the eltereforum.lu platform, launched in February 2023, attracted nearly 71,000 unique users in a year and a half, reflecting parents' sustained interest in online resources.

The project also sent six letters to parents with advice on the most important aspects of parenting: digital hygiene (Screen-Life Balance), developing self-esteem in children, family routines, the value of free time, language culture in the family and responsible use of screens.

In addition, Eltereforum works closely with a number of partners - such as Initiativ Liewensufank, ErwuesseBildung and Eltereschoul of the Kannerschlass Foundation. In 2024, Initiativ Liewensufank held 100 events at the centres, Eltereschoul 32 and ErwuesseBildung 7. Themes are coordinated and events are planned through regular working meetings.

From May 2025, the sécher.digital campaign will focus on the theme of balancing the use of digital devices with family life.
