Luxembourg's population grew 25% in decade
STATEC has published a new study. This time it focuses on the inhabitants of the Grand Duchy. From 2011 to 2021, the number of the population grew by 25% to 644,000 people. The latest population census proves this.
A slight change in the average age has happened: it increased to 39.7 years. Also, the number of men has proportionately increased since 2011. One of the main reasons for this is labor migration.
The number of children remains constant in proportion. On average, there are 1.4 children for every woman in Luxembourg.
