FESTIVËLO 2025: Luxembourg celebrates the culture of the bicycle

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the ProVëlo association is organising a major festival, FESTIVËLO, which will take place from 16 to 21 September 2025 in Luxembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette. The six-day event will be a real treat for all cycling enthusiasts, from avid cyclists to families with children and ordinary citizens.

The festival programme combines bicycle rides, thematic lectures, film screenings and animations for all ages. Special attention will be paid to the promotion of soft mobility, urban ecology and the development of cycling infrastructure.

This will culminate on 21 September with CFL's European Mobility Week event "Journée festive autour du vélo" from 10:00 to 18:00 at Place de la Constitution in the centre of Luxembourg. Visitors will be able to learn about CFL's projects to support sustainable transport, including initiatives to create bikeboxes - secure bicycle parking facilities. Those who wish will even be able to join in the development of an app.
