Luxembourg allocates €5 million to support charging stations for electric vehicles

Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Lex Delles has announced the launch of a new grant competition for companies willing to invest in charging stations for electric vehicles.
Key Terms:
- The budget of the programme is 5 million euros.
- Companies can receive up to 50 per cent subsidy for installing charging stations.
- The minimum capacity of each station is 175 kW.
- The programme applies to private and public charging points.
Applications will be accepted via MyGuichet.lu from 3 February to 3 June 2025.
Delles stressed that this programme will help businesses to adopt green technologies and also improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
Results from previous programmes:
- 1,636 charging stations installed,
- 19.4 million euros have been allocated,
- The total capacity of the plants reached 93,581 kW.
