Luxembourg's public services are now available in France
French residents can now use their national digital identity solutions - "L'identité numérique La Poste" and "France Identité" - to access key Luxembourg government online services. These include:
- MyGuichet.lu is a portal for administrative services;
- Luxembourg Business Registers (lbr.lu) - access to company and beneficiary registers;
- eCDF.lu is a financial data collection platform;
- Portail des Marchés Publics is a public procurement portal.
French residents are no longer required to obtain Luxembourg means of authentication to perform basic transactions on MyGuichet.lu, such as:
- viewing personal data from official sources;
- subscription to eDelivery to receive electronic notifications;
- performing online procedures that do not require an electronic signature.
These changes are made possible by eIDAS, which unites the digital identity systems of EU countries. This allows citizens and companies to use their national means of authentication to work with services from other countries.
Currently 22 EU countries, including neighbouring Belgium, Germany and France, offer such an opportunity.
