Due to major roadworks to resurface the ban de Gasperich, the Bridges and Roads Authority has announced the full closure of a key section of the A3 motorway. The section between Gluck roundabout and Hesperange junction will be inaccessible from 7:00am on Saturday morning, 6 September, until Sunday, 7 September, 23:00am.
The closure will affect both directions of traffic. Official diversions routes equipped with temporary navigation are provided for drivers:
- Motorists travelling from Gluck Ring towards the Croix de Gasperich junction are asked to take the N4A (boulevard de Kockelscheuer), then the CR231 (boulevard F.W. Raiffeisen), with an exit onto the A3 via the Hesperange junction.
- Those travelling towards Luxembourg from the A3 should turn off the motorway at the Hesperange junction and continue on the same roads - CR231 and N4A - towards the city.
The works in the Gasperich neighbourhood are part of a major transformation of the southern part of the capital and are accompanied by periodic changes in traffic patterns. Drivers are asked to take into account possible delays, plan their routes in advance and be particularly attentive to temporary markings and signs.
