A7/B7 closed for the weekend: roadworks between Colmar-Berg and Ingeldorf

In order to improve the road infrastructure, the Administration des ponts et chaussées (Administration of Bridges and Roads) has announced the complete closure of a section of the A7/B7 motorway from Colmar-Berg to Ingeldorf for the period from Friday 25 July from 20:00 to Monday 28 July until 5:00 am. The topsoil replacement work is scheduled to take place over the weekend and will coincide with the construction industry's summer collective holiday to minimise the impact on day-to-day traffic.
The following exits will be closed during the works:
- Colmar-Berg exit towards Friedhof
- Schieren exit in the direction of Friedhof
- Exit Ettelbruck towards Friedhof
- Ingeldorf exit towards Luxembourg
- Ettelbruck exit towards Luxembourg
Motorists planning to exit onto the A7/B7 from these junctions will be diverted onto the N7 national motorway.
Preparations for the closure will begin in advance, so traffic jams are possible as early as Friday afternoon. The authorities strongly recommend to think over alternative routes in advance and take into account possible delays.
