This coming weekend, motorists should prepare for significant traffic disruption on the A13 motorway. From 9.00 pm on Friday until approximately 4.00 am on Monday, the motorway will be completely closed in both directions on the section between Differdange and the Biff roundabout. These restrictions are due to construction work: a special bridge is being built on this section to allow wild animals to cross the carriageway safely.

Traffic from the Biff roundabout towards Esch will be blocked. Furthermore, motorists travelling from Differdange will not be able to drive towards the commune of Pétange (Pétange). At the same time, the exit from Sanem towards Esch will remain open, but the exit towards Pétange will be closed.

Official diversion routes have been put in place for the entire duration of the construction works. Traffic from the Biff junction will be diverted via the N31 through Niederkorn (Niederkorn), and then along the CR175A and CR175 to Sanem, where drivers will be able to rejoin the motorway. For those travelling from Differdange, a diversion is in place via the N32, CR174 and N31 via Differdange itself and Niederkorn, returning to the Biff junction. Motorists leaving Sanem are advised to follow the CR175 and CR175A via Niederkorn to reach the Biff roundabout.
