The A4 will be closed this weekend due to roadworks

The Bridges and Roads Authority (Administration des ponts et chaussées) is commencing scheduled works to resurface the A4 motorway. This major resurfacing project will affect the section between the Lallange junction and the Esch interchange. The works will take place between 17:00 on Saturday 25 April and 05:00 on Monday 27 April.

The timing of the works has been chosen with a view to minimising traffic congestion on weekdays, when traffic volumes on the road are at their highest. However, preparatory work will begin as early as Saturday afternoon, so localised traffic disruption is expected even before the section is officially closed.

A system of diversion routes has been put in place to ensure transport connectivity. Drivers planning to access the A4 or A13 motorways will be diverted onto regional roads: CR170A, CR170, CR168 and CR169, before rejoining the motorway via the Schifflange junction.
