Battle of Ardennes Remembrance Day

On Saturday, 14 December 2024, at 10:00 a.m., a joint ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Ardennes will be held at the American Military Cemetery in Luxembourg (Hamm). The event will be attended by Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Grand Duchess Maria Theresa, Luxembourg's Prime Minister Luc Frieden, delegations from the United States and Europe, including NASA head Bill Nelson, veterans of the battle, and representatives of the government and diplomatic corps. A free shuttle will be organised for registered participants as the road to the cemetery will be closed. Activities will continue in the afternoon in Bastogne, Belgium.
Christmas Tree Singers Concert

The Christmas Tree Singers will hold their next concert on Saturday 14 December at 5pm in the Bofferdange Chapel. The programme includes familiar pieces as well as several new songs, including a rare Luxembourg hymn restored by the group's musical director. Some pieces have not been performed for almost a century.

The Fever platform has unveiled Candlelight Concerts, which take place from 4 November to 21 December 2024 at Hôtel Le Royal and Cercle Cité in Luxembourg. The concerts, performed by local musicians in an atmosphere of thousands of candles, make classical music accessible to all. Luxicals Christmas Song Performance

Luxicals asbl, an amateur music group from Luxembourg, will present a new Christmas song "Something Magical" created in Luxembourg. The song will be premiered at the Christmas market in Steinfort on Saturday, 14 December 2024, at 17:00. Luxicals will also perform "Christmas at Grand Hotel Wellington", a touching story about the adventures of Saint Nicholas (Kleeschen) during the holidays. The dialogues will be performed in Luxembourgish and the songs will be sung in Luxembourgish, German, English and French.
