On July 30th, Summer Dog Day will take place in Germany

The 4th Summer Dog Day will take place on July 30th in Nennig — a small village across from Remich on the banks of the Moselle. The festival is organized by the association Give Us a Voice. It starts at 11:00 am.

For the guests, there will be spots with street food, entertainment, and of course relaxing in the company of tail friends. But the highlight of the festival will be the dog runway. Every pet will be able to show its beauty and grace and even compete for a prize.

It will cost owners 20 euros to participate in the dog competition. In order not to cause problems for the other festival participants, the pet must also be friendly and vaccinated. All money raised will be donated to Give Us a Voice and used to help animals in need.

The main goal of Dog Day is still to promote responsible pet ownership. According to statistics, summer is the time when the highest percentage of pets are abandoned. The problem is especially serious after the year 2020. Hundreds of dogs end up on the streets each year.
