The Blues'n'Jazz Rallye will take place in Luxembourg on July 15, 2023
The Blues'n'Jazz Rallye is an important part of the Summer in the City festival. The world's most famous musicians will gather in numerous venues around the capital this Saturday, July 15.
The Blues'n'Jazz Rallye is one of the most popular summer events in Luxembourg. Every year, this open-air event is a meeting point for jazz and blues musicians from all over the world. And each time, music lovers come to Luxembourg to be part of this beautiful event.
The concerts will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 3:00 a.m. All this time, 40 artists will be filling the streets with an indescribable sound. The streets of the capital will be closed to traffic for the duration of this musical marathon. The entire festival will be transformed into one big open-air stage.
The artists who will come this year are quite fascinating. For example, at the scene in Théiwesbuer (Pfaffenthal), you will meet the art of Erja Lyytinen — "The Queen of Slide Guitar". She plays contemporary blues-rock at its best, and on her last album, she paid tribute to the classic rock bands — Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Uriah Keep.
Another amazing performer is the British band The Bluey and Incognito, who will perform in Neimënster (Grund). They are masters in a wide range of genres — from soul to contemporary jazz-funk.
Moving from one stage to another, guests can not only listen to different styles of performance but also see UNESCO heritage sites in the old city. The venues have been chosen in order to have as much coverage as possible of the city's monuments:
- Place Auguste Engel (Grund)
- Neimënster (Grund)
- Melusina (Clausen)
- Rives de Clausen (Clausen)
- Parc Mansfeld (Clausen)
- Parc Odendahl (Pfaffenthal)
- Théiwesbuer (Pfaffenthal)
- Sang a Klang (Pfaffenthal)
We would also like to remind you that public transport will be limited due to the closed roads too. There will be some changes to the classic routes, which will be in effect until further notice. All details can be found on the official website of the city transport.
