The Science Festival will take place in Luxembourg in November

This year's Science Festival will take place from November 9 to 12 and will be divided into several blocks: one for school children and one open to the public. The forum will be held at the Museum of natural history and in the Abbaye Neumünster.

The festival will begin with workshops and activities for school classes on November 9 and 10. Primary school students (cycles 3.2, 4.1, and 4.2) and secondary school students (7e, 6e, 5e) are invited to participate. Organizers note that groups of more than 20 must be divided into smaller subgroups and each group must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshops are about 30 minutes long and run from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Students may then attend one of the optional facultative until noon. There will be a special picnic area for lunch, as well as a small catering service at the Niessen Restaurant.

On November 9 and 10, everyone (ages six and up) can visit the Science Festival — the forum will be open every day from 10:00 to 18:00. Guests will enjoy 50 master classes and four shows dedicated to science and technology. The motto of the festival is "Touch Everything". The organizers encourage the public to dive into science and try out the knowledge gained in practice.

You can have lunch at one of the food trucks at the festival site or the restaurants Naturmusée, Brasserie de Neimënster, and Niessen. You can bring your water bottle and fill it up at the fountain, or rent a food container and a cup for a deposit of 1 euro.

Best of all, the seminars and performances are free. Places are limited, however, so be sure to reserve your ticket in advance: registration for all days will open on September 20. The detailed program of the festival will be announced later on the official event page.

You can get to the festival by taking bus lines 23 (stop Stadgronn Bréck), 14, and 15 (stop Clausen/Rumm). The train station is also a 15-minute walk away. If you decide to come by car, please note that Rue Münster and Rue des Trêves are closed to traffic. Parking is available at the Brasserie (Rives de Clausen). For strollers and bicycles, there is also secure parking 10 meters from the museum.
