Things to do on Halloween: 10 ways to celebrate in Luxembourg

Halloween is coming. On the most terrifying, and, moreover, one of the most joyful holidays of the year, the Grand Duchy has prepared a lot of entertainment for everyone. Some picks are suitable for the whole family, some are aimed squarely at adults.

Halloween on Ice

The skating rink in Kokelscheuer will feature ice skating during the holiday weekend, accompanied by thematic music from a local DJ. Come in costume, you won’t be alone! A real Halloween party will unfold on the ice.

Date: October 29, 16:00-22:30. Address: Patinoire Kockelscheuer (42, route de Bettembourg, L-1899 Luxembourg).

Hallokween 2.0

Tube Bar will hold its own party to celebrate the holiday. Costumes are required, and those who dress up the best will get free drinks. No reservations, so hurry up and get there early if you want to get good seats. The star of the show is the drag queen Medusa Venom.

Date: October 29, 20:00-2:00. Address: Tube Bar (8 Rue Sigefroi, 2536 Luxembourg).

Halloween in Neumünster

Neumünster Abbey invites children and adults to the celebration. Shows and other entertainment, shadow puppets, photo booth, face painting and much more.

Date: October 30, 14:00. Address: Neimënster Abbey (28 Rue Münster, 2160 Luxembourg).

Halloween 4 Kids

Halloween is not only scary, but also fun. Daytime entertainment and games await the children. And after that the young participants will be fed with holiday-themed muffins and crepes. Paid entrance.

Date: October 31, 14:00-17:00. Address: Navitours (Quai de la Moselle, L-5553 Remich).

Halloween on a haunted ship

On the evening of October 31, the ship cursed by ghosts will leave the shore and set sail on the Moselle. And then the unfortunate passengers will be subjected to true horrors: frightening cocktails, mystical dances and a party from dusk till dawn.

By the way, this event takes place in the same place as Halloween 4 Kids. So responsible parents will have time to entertain the children during the day, take them home, return — and have some fun on their own.

Date: October 31, 19:00. Time: Navitours (Quai de la Moselle, L-5553 Remich).

Halloween Pub Crawl

Suit up and join a selfless band of Luxembourgers as they prepare to tour the capital’s best pubs and bars on the scariest night of the year. Only for those who are ready to meet the dawn with a pint of beer and are not afraid of a hangover throughout Tuesday.

Date: October 31, 20:00-6:00. Starting address: Shamrock Pub (49 Bd Royal, 2449 Luxembourg).

Horror marathon in Kinepolis

No Halloween is complete without a scary movie or three. On October 31st, Kinepolis cinemas in Kirchberg and Belval will show three modern horror flicks: The Invitation, Prey for the Devil and Lair. Buy tickets, a big bucket of popcorn — and get ready to scream in terror.

Date: October 31, 20:00. Addresses: Kinepolis Belval (7 Av. du Rock’n’Roll, 4361 Esch-sur-Alzette) and Kinepolis Kirchberg (45 Av. John F. Kennedy, 1855 Luxembourg).

Halloween on trampolines at Ninja Parc

The largest trampoline park in Luxembourg also hosts a Halloween party. Organizers promise entertainment on the ground and in the air, excellent food and first-class drinks. The number of tickets is limited.

Date: October 31, 18:00-22:00. Address: Ozone (11 Rue du Brill, 3898 Mondercange).

Nocturne Halloween in ZigZag

The ZigZag children’s center gathers young guests for an exciting evening: karting, games and other entertainment. Parents are also very welcome at the celebration.

Date: October 31, 18:30-22:00. Address: Zigzag (7 Rue Pletzer, 8080 Bertrange).

Club parties

On Halloween, parties are hosted by Melusina, Boonchu Club, Schapp and Schräinerei. Each establishment will have traditional club entertainment: DJ sets, cocktails, dances, prizes and gifts for the most active participants. Retro lovers should pay special attention to Schräinerei. There will be a Thriller party dedicated to the eighties, nineties and, of course, to the legendary Michael Jackson hit. Don’t forget to dress up like a disco zombie!
