European Parliament announces recruitment for Schuman Traineeships

The Schuman traineeship is a very promising program for a professional, which will help to better understand the structure of the European authorities, the principle of their work and to acquire new skills. And the most important thing, of course, is that such an internship is paid.

The successful candidate will be based in one of the European Parliament's official offices: Brussels, Luxembourg or Strasbourg. To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Be a citizen of a Member State of the European Union or of a candidate country (a very limited number of traineeships may also be offered to citizens of other countries);
  • Hold a university degree;
  • Have a strong knowledge of one of the official languages of the EU and a high level of proficiency in the second language (citizens of non-EU countries must have a very high level of proficiency in English, French or German);
  • Provide a certificate of no criminal record;
  • Not work or undertake any other traineeship for more than two months at a time in an EU institute, organization or agency.

Internships last 5 months and must be applied for in advance. For traineeships from October 1 to February 28/29, you must apply between May 1 and May 31. For internships from March 1 to July 31, you must apply between October 1 and October 31. To apply, visit the official internship website.
