Luxembourg is expanding its operation to repatriate its citizens from the Middle East. The third evacuation flight, operated by Luxair in close coordination with the country's government, took off from Muscat Airport in Oman. There are 181 passengers on board, including 12 children and three infants.

According to the plan, the plane is scheduled to land at Luxembourg Airport at around 11:00. This flight is the latest stage in a large-scale operation to repatriate citizens who found themselves in the region amid the tense situation.

The country's military capabilities are also being deployed in parallel with the operation. A MRTT (Multi Role Tanker Transport) aircraft has already landed in Muscat. Its departure for Luxembourg is scheduled for the morning and it will also be used to transport passengers.

The evacuation is being coordinated jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Mobility, the Luxembourg Ministry of Defence and Luxair. Other agencies involved in logistics and security are also participating in the operation.
