Luxembourg discusses energy transition with its neighbours
Ministers of Energy from Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands met today in Brussels. The energy forum was moderated by Claude Turmes.
The main issues on the agenda were the transition to clean energy and mutual assistance in case of crises. Disruptions in the supply of fuel and electricity are a big concern for the EU countries.
Luxembourg sees a way out of the current crisis with the development of renewable energy sources, hydrogen fuel and close cooperation of all countries in the region. Then Western Europe will be able to abandon fossil fuels and insulate itself from future crises.
