Spring warmth and dry air in Luxembourg may be the first signs of bad weather

Luxembourg is experiencing almost perfect spring weather - dry, sunny and warm, MeteoLux reports. For several days in a row, the country has been bathed in sunshine, with daytime temperatures reaching up to 16°C. The mornings, however, are chilly: on Wednesday, the Findel Airport weather station recorded 0°C, with a felt temperature of -3°C.
But the most unusual thing is the extremely low humidity. According to Météo Boulaide, it ranges from 19% to 31%, which is extremely unusual for March. The reason for this is the persistent anticyclone over Central Europe: it blocks humid air from entering the region and keeps the weather clear and dry.
However, by the weekend the situation will start to change. An atmospheric depression is approaching from the south of Europe, from Portugal, which will bring wetter air masses. According to forecasts, heavy rain and possible thunderstorms will start over France on Friday, and by Saturday evening the rains may reach Luxembourg.
Strong storms are not expected yet, but on Sunday the probability of localised thunderstorms will still increase. Nevertheless, meteorologists believe that a real summer thunderstorm is unlikely - the humidity is still insufficient for a powerful atmospheric discharge.
For now, Luxembourg can enjoy some of the driest and brightest March days of recent years.
