From 21 to 23 June 2025, Luxembourg will hold celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri's accession to the throne. The events are timed to coincide with the National Day, but will additionally focus on the monarch's jubilee. The programme includes concerts, parades, a light show and official ceremonies.

The celebrations will open at 19:30 outside the Luxembourg City Hall: the Mayor will officially receive the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess.

At 21:00, a festive concert will take place on Place Guillaume II: jazz star Dee Dee Bridgewater will perform with the National Jazz Orchestra of Luxembourg under the baton of composer and conductor Gast Waltzing.

The evening will conclude with a light and sound show on the façade of the Grand Ducal Palace, featuring key moments from the 25-year reign.

On the eve of the National Day, members of the ducal family will split up to visit regions of the country: the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess will go to Esch-sur-Alzette and the hereditary couple to Mondercange.

In the evening, the entire ducal household will return to the capital to take part in the traditional torchlight procession and fireworks display, which traditionally attracts thousands of spectators.

National Day celebrations will begin with a state ceremony at the Philharmonic Hall to mark 25 years of rule, with the participation of the entire Ducal family.

This will be followed by military and civilian parades. The Grand Duke and the Crown Duke will review the troops.

In the afternoon, at the invitation of the Archbishop, a solemn Te Deum will be served in Notre Dame Cathedral with the Grand Duke, Grand Duchess and family members in attendance.
