On 1 February 2025 at Cercle Cité, from 11:00 to 18:00, there will be Family Day, a free event for the whole family that brings together art, culture and fun. The programme has something for everyone, regardless of age.

Throughout the day, guests will be able to take part in interactive masterclasses:

  • Storytelling and mask making are for fans of creative storytelling.
  • The ancestors of cinema: creating thaumatropes and flipbooks.
  • Origami inspired by Luxembourg's literary heritage.
  • Painting is for those who want to discover the talent of an artist.
  • A manga masterclass with Sabrina Kaufmann for beginning fans of Japanese comics.
  • A sensory theatre for children aged 8-11 where you can create your own fantasy landscape.

Families will also enjoy wooden toys, board games and cosy reading areas.

The event will conclude at 17:00 with a performance by the Luxembourg Conservatoire Teachers' Orchestra, providing a colourful final note to the day.

Masterclasses will be held in several languages. Pre-registration is required for some activities. The event will take place at Place d'Armes, in the Cercle Cité building, and is open to everyone.
