Luxembourg events for December 29-31
The last weekend of 2023 will be lively, although most people will be preparing for the festivities. However, New Year's Eve is not as popular in Luxembourg as Christmas, so do not expect a particularly active celebration.
Suzume
The latest work by Makoto Shinkai, the widely recognized genius of Japanese feature animation. The director's name ranks alongside that of Hayao Miyazaki. The master is known for his detailed landscapes and dramatic plots, often with open-ended endings.
Despite the obvious romantic line, Shinkai's new creation emphasizes above all the fragility and vulnerability of human creations in the face of nature.

Kirchberg. Photographs by Christian Aschman
For more than fifteen years, the Fondation Kirchberg has entrusted outstanding representatives of contemporary photography with the task of documenting the urban and architectural evolution of this constantly changing area. This year, Christian Aschman will help us look at the district from the perspective of a street photographer.
The photographer has carried out more than 50 photo shoots in different parts of Kirchberg. He even gained access to some buildings to give viewers a bird's eye view. The photos reveal what is usually hidden from view.
