RTL and Filmfong will support three Luxembourg series: who received funding

In 2024, the Luxembourg Film Fund (Lëtzebuerger Filmfong) and RTL continued their strategic partnership to develop local television. Following two calls for proposals, to which 17 projects were submitted, three series were selected to receive €110,000 in funding.

The first project was the feature film series Verdiewen, written by Thierry Faber and produced by Samsa Film. It received 40,000 euros of support.

The second series is "Immo Schroeder", with Louis Loschetter and Philip Michels working on the script, the latter also being the applicant for the project. The funding amounted to 30,000 euros.

The third project selected is "Troublemaker - D'Serie", a feature film series created by the creative team of Govinda Van Maele, Roxanne Peguet and Andy Bausch. Production will again be handled by Samsa Film, as was the case with the first series. This project has also been allocated 40,000 euros.

Since the partnership between RTL and Filmfong was launched in 2011, many successful TV programmes have been produced. Among them are the popular series Weemseesdet, Come Back, Zëmmer ze verlounen, routwäissgro, Capitani and Marginal. Within the children's segment, the Kannativi brand, which combines content for young audiences, is being actively developed.
