Luxembourg's cultural life never stops. And although the hot season for open-air events is coming to an end, the Grand Duchy will always find something to surprise you. We have selected the most interesting festivals to get you ready for the fall.
Guttland
The Guttland is an enchanting place, one of the natural landscapes for which the Grand Duchy is famous. Until September 9, you can take part in a series of unusual tours, such as a walk with animals, a nocturnal forest experience or a special Japanese practice called Shinrin Yoku. This is a bath among the trees that helps to relieve stress, connect with nature and stimulate the immune system.

History Vehicles
The town of Lasauvage in Differdange will be the scene of the Historic Vehicles retro car parade. In addition to the traditional car show, snacks from food trucks and shopping at souvenir stalls, this year's festival will feature the Miss Pin-Up and Little Miss Pin-Up contests. The participants will present their outfits from a bygone era in unique styles that still bring joy and smiles.

The Charly Gaul cycling marathon
Named after the legendary Luxembourg cyclist Charly Gaul, this marathon takes place for the 33rd time. Participants will start in Echternach and ride more than 100 kilometers through the north of the country. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. and finishes at 3:00 p.m. Anyone can participate and registration is still open: hurry up!

Grande Braderie
This fair is opened every year at the beginning of September. Here you can find not only popular brands, but also crafts at the most attractive prices. You can enjoy unusual dishes in the numerous cafes and stalls. The shopping streets stretch from the train station to the city center.

Aerowaves Dance Festival
Can a heartbeat become music and movements become a story about growing up? How can dance defeat evil rock, and how can you make jokes with gestures? Answers to these questions are sought by the young artists of the Aerowaves Dance Festival. It is dedicated to new dance styles and takes place every two years in Luxembourg. It is a great opportunity for the public to dive into the unpredictable world of contemporary art and to meet the dancers who are already taking European stages by storm.

LOA
Luxembourg Open Air in Kirchberg traditionally closes the season of open-air music festivals in the Grand Duchy. Held for the first time in 2019, it has since become so beloved by residents and visitors alike that tickets for the concerts sell out like crazy. Stroossefestival
This is one of the most beautiful and fascinating street festivals in Luxembourg. Here you can meet acrobats and musicians, get lost in a magical maze of mirrors, and taste unusual delicacies. The festival is designed for spectators of all ages and special events are planned for younger guests.

Ettelbrooklyn Street Fest
Another street festival in Ettelbruck that brings together talents from all over the country every year. Here you can enjoy performances by acrobats, dancers, musicians, comedians, and circus artists, as well as various workshops such as painting, clay sculpting, and even capoeira.

Long Live the Summer 2023
Another way to end the summer in a fun and lively way. Long Live the Summer has activities for the whole family! You can listen to an outdoor concert, play sports with the pros, or shop for crafts and souvenirs. For foodies, there will be an entire "The food village" where you can sample local delicacies and drinks, and buy something to take home.

Swing the Abbey
Have you ever wanted to learn how to swing and immerse yourself in the art world of the 30s? Then this festival is for you. For three days at the famous Neumünster Abbey, you can not only enjoy performances by professionals but also take special swing classes yourself.

Tempus Mediaevale
Luxembourg has many old castles where you can often visit a medieval festival. One of them is the Tempus Mediaevale at the Château de Koerich. Here you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the time of knights and kings, taste unusual delicacies, and visit the market with its amazing goods. Anno 1900 Steampunk Convention
Another festival for fans of time travel, especially in fictional timelines. Steampunk is a style that combines the Victorian era with complex mechanisms and technological progress. Guests of this event will see the most unusual and fascinating costumes that are hard to imagine. And also - relax at a musical concert, or theatrical performance or take a ride on a historical train from 1900.

Unicareers
The Unicareers Fair is one of the largest job fairs in Luxembourg. This year the event will take place for the 10th time. Oktoberfest
The famous Oktoberfest is not only held in Munich but also in Luxembourg. Here it is organized every year by the brewery Brauerei. This is a real holiday for all beer lovers, with concerts, DJ sets, competitions, and prize draws. Don't forget to reserve a table!

Mad Ones
This punk rock festival has a complicated history: its organizers, the band Versus You, had long dreamed of organizing such an event in their home country of Luxembourg. They wanted to celebrate their 15th birthday in this way. The concert was about to take place, but the pandemic broke out and the event had to be canceled. This year, the musicians' dream will finally come true. The concert will feature many bands not only from the Grand Duchy but also from all over Europe, such as France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland.

Discovery days
The National Library of Luxembourg is celebrating its 225th anniversary this year. In honor of this occasion, the staff has prepared many events for its guests.
