Delhaize is recalling the product due to an error

The Delhaize supermarket chain has announced the recall of a batch of soup after a production error was discovered: instead of the advertised "celeriac velouté with truffle", the cans were accidentally filled with lobster chowder. This seemingly harmless mix-up could have serious consequences for people allergic to crustaceans.
The problematic product was on sale from 9 to 16 December and its EAN code is 5400119535748, with an expiry date of 01/01/2026. Anyone who may be susceptible to an allergic reaction is urged not to consume the soup, return it to any Delhaize shop and receive a full refund.
For other customers, this is more of a curiosity than a threat: if there are no allergies, lobster soup can be safely eaten, despite the unexpected difference from the declared flavour.
