The National Health Fund (CNS) has issued an official warning following a sharp rise in the number of phishing emails that make unauthorised use of the organisation’s logo. In these fraudulent messages, citizens are told of an alleged error in the reimbursement of medical expenses or that compensation is pending confirmation. The text of the email usually contains a link that is supposed to redirect the user to their personal profile to resolve the issue.

Representatives of the fund emphasise that the mere presence of an official logo, brand name or graphic design does not guarantee the authenticity of an email. In this regard, the agency strongly advises recipients of such emails not to click on suspicious links, to carefully check the sender’s email address and to refrain from providing any personal details. If you have even the slightest doubt about the authenticity of a message, you should delete it immediately.

At the same time, members of the public wishing to check the status of their payments or report suspicious activity are advised to contact the CNS exclusively through verified official channels. Further information on fraudulent schemes targeting the fund’s clients, as well as detailed instructions on protecting personal data, is available on the agency’s official website.
