Watch out for glass and wood: Auchan and Alnatura products are being recalled in Luxembourg

The Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Authority (ALVA) has issued two urgent warnings about possible contamination of foodstuffs. These are glass fragments and wood particles that may be found in everyday products.
The first recall concerns the vegetable dish "Ratatouille gourmande" from the Auchan brand, which is sold in glass jars. Shards of glass were found in some batches, which poses a direct threat to the health of consumers. The product has already been withdrawn from sale nationwide.
The second case is organic sea salt crisps of the Alnatura brand. According to ALVA, the packages sold between 11 February and 21 March 2025 could contain wood particles visually resembling sawdust or wood chips. Although the product is positioned as bio and healthy, wood impurities are not part of the original composition in any way.
ALVA urges shoppers to check their stock immediately. If you have the products mentioned above at home, they should not be consumed, even if they appear normal. It is not just a question of poor quality products, but a real risk of injury - especially if sharp or hard foreign bodies are swallowed.
